Maria Menounos, born June 8, 1978 in Massachusetts, is an entertainment reporter, television personality, actress, and businesswoman. She’s best known for her hosting gigs on both Extra and E! News. She served as a TV correspondent for Today and Access Hollywood. Maria also co-founded the podcast network, AfterBuzz TV, in which she currently serves as the CEO. Additionally, she’s been a WWE ambassador since 2013. Currently, she hosts the podcast, Conversations with Maria Menounos. Maria began participating in pageants in the late ’90s, and went on to win the title of Miss Massachusetts Teen USA in 1996 — where she later competed at Miss Teen USA and placed in the top 15. In 2000, she competed for the title of Miss Massachusetts USA, and was the first runner-up. Maria attended Emerson College in Boston, and graduated in 2000. She’s also involved in charity work, including being an animal activist. Maria is vocally proud of her Greek heritage. Maria married director and producer Keven Undergaro on December 31, 2017 in Times Square. In June 2017, Maria underwent surgery for meningioma, a benign intracranial tumor. After announcing the news, she left E! News to focus on her health and other individual opportunities.
