Selena Gomez is getting the help she needs during her break from the spotlight. After cancelling the rest of her 'Revival' tour, she's recovering from her anxiety and depression at a treatment center in Tennessee, according to a new report. Get the details here.
A month and a half after Selena Gomez, 24, announced that she had to ‘take a break’ to focus on her health, her whereabouts over the last several weeks has been revealed. The singer has been spending time at a rehab facility in Tennessee, Us Weekly reports.
[interaction id=”57fe3818dc63de0d58cf1fd9″]“Selena is dealing with lupus, but this break is to focus on her mental health,” an insider tells the mag. “She can go to a very dark place.” The name of the treatment center was not confirmed, but the source says it’s located outside of Nashville and is “super intense,” but “private and quiet.”
Of course, this isn’t Selena’s first time recovering in rehab: She voluntarily spent time in an Arizona facility at the beginning of 2014, as well.

This news comes following Sel’s Aug. 30 statement that she’d be taking time off to deal with “anxiety, panic attacks and depression,” which have come about as side effects of her lupus medication. She has since been completely silent on social media, and wasn’t photographed until just recently on Oct. 8, when fans spotted her at a Texas Roadhouse in Tennessee. The 24-year-old looked happy and refreshed in photos with fans from the outing, and an insider told HollywoodLife.com. EXCLUSIVELY that she was “nice, friendly and respectful” to everyone there.
As we previously reported, the “Same Old Love” singer has been keeping journals throughout this hard time, and hopes to turn what she’s written into songs once she’s ready to get back to work. We’ll be patiently waiting!
