‘The Prom’ is the movie musical event of the year. The film was released Dec. 11 on Netflix. ‘The Prom’ follows New York City stage stars (Meryl Streep, Nicole Kidman, James Corden, and Andrew Rannells) hit the road and head to small-town Indiana to give themselves a professional lift. While they only went to Indiana initially to resurrect their public images, they end up growing close with Emma Nolan, who has been banned from attending the prom with her girlfriend. The group rally to give Emma a night where she can truly celebrate who she is. ‘The Prom’ also stars newcomer Jo Ellen Pellman as Emma, Ariana DeBose, Keegan-Michael Key, Kerry Washington, Tracey Ullman, Kevin Chamberlin, Mary Kay Place, Nico Greetham Logan Riley, Nathaniel J.
