Whoa! Are Zac Efron and Vanessa Hudgens sending messages to each other via the internet? Just wait until you see how the 'HSM' stars might be corresponding these days... Zac Efron, 28, and Vanessa Hudgens, 27, just can't seem to quit each other. Even though it's been six years since they split, recent reports claim that Zac has been reaching out to his beloved ex now that he's back on the market. However, it's their recent social media posts that have fans totally freaking out that they are communicating in secret!
Well, what do we have here? Shortly after Zac posted an ode to his old High School Musical days, including a touching message to Vanessa, the actress may have responded in her own unique way. When Vanessa shared a link to a story titled “A Modern Day Snapchat Love Story,” the only thing her followers saw was the eerily familiar picture attached.
The picture showed a dark haired girl with soft curls kissing a young man on the lips on what appears to be the beach. Although their faces can’t be seen, the picture looks so much like a Zac and Vanessa “throwback” that she just HAD to know what she was doing when she shared it!
Unfortunately the link and the story itself have no mention or known meaning to Zac and Vanessa’s old relationship, but boy did that picture give their hopeful fans butterflies. There are still many fan accounts dedicated to “Zanessa” and extremely hopeful that there is a future for the pair, so all of this back-and-forth between the two is driving everyone nuts!

In case you missed Zac’s photo message to Vanessa, he shared an old pic of the High School Musical gang on Instagram with the sweetest caption ever. Zac wrote that he was “grateful” for randomly finding the photo, and then ended his caption with, “Love you guys forever.” In the photo was Zac, along with Ashley Tisdale, Vanessa, and their other co-star, Corbin Bleu.
So, is there hope for Zanessa? I guess we’ll just have to wait and see!
