Kim Kardashian hasn't worn her wedding ring in Instagram photos for the past few weeks, and a source EXCLUSIVELY tells HollywoodLife if this is 'some sort of message.'
Fans have noticed that Kim Kardashian has ditched her wedding ring in recent Instagram photos, but a KarJenner source EXCLUSIVELY tells HollywoodLife that “no one should be looking at her ring, whether she’s wearing it or not, as some sort of message.” Yes, there’s a reason the 40-year-old Keeping Up with the Kardashians star’s ring has been MIA as of late. However, this doesn’t have to do with her and Kanye West‘s reported marital troubles, according to our insider.
“She often chooses to go without it for pictures because she likes a clean look,” our insider explains, adding, “And when she’s home chilling out she doesn’t always wear it and that has been true for many years. It’s nothing new, people are just reading into everything.”

One example of Kim rocking a “clean look” while lounging at home is an Instagram post she shared on Jan. 6, the very same day a Page Six report claimed that “divorce is imminent” for the SKIMS founder and Kanye. Kim’s fingers were bare in the photo, although the overall picture was stripped-down. Kim was just wearing a nude SKIMS lingerie set, but she has since taken down the photo.
The KKW Beauty founder’s ring was also missing in photos, however, in her family Christmas Eve photos. Kim was last seen wearing her ring on her Instagram page in a video shared on Dec. 14, in which the mother of four modeled SKIMS Backless Shapewear — you can watch that clip below.

Despite the Jan. 6 report claiming that “divorce is imminent” for Kim and Kanye, we’ve learned that such a decision isn’t set in stone yet. “Kim’s been doing everything possible to save her marriage, they’ve been having trouble, as everyone knows, but she just hasn’t wanted to give up,” a different source EXCLUSIVELY told HollywoodLife. “They’ve been doing counseling, but they’ve really been spending very little time together. They pretty much just come together for the kids now.”
Kim and Kanye share four children together: North, 7, Saint, 5, Chicago, 2, and Psalm, 1. The parents went through a rough patch in July of 2020, when Kanye posted a series of controversial tweets, writing things such as wanting to “get divorced” and claiming that Kim and his mother-in-law Kris Jenner allegedly tried to “lock” him up and have doctors put the rapper in a “51/50 hold,” referring to a California law code that puts someone in a 72-hour involuntary psychiatric hold.
Kim later showed her support for Kanye by posting a message about his Bipolar disorder, while Kanye issued a public apology to his wife. In Aug. 2020, they took their kids on a family vacation to the Dominican Republic and Colorado, and even enjoyed romantic dates in the fall. This new development in Kim and Kanye’s marriage, just days into 2021, is just one of the many ups and downs the couple has faced since their romance went public in 2012.
